    Avoid Over-Balancing

Just curious... You know how in Firefall, when one transitioned from one zone to another, their level and power-rating was brought down and capped at a certain point. Wouldn't it be possible to have such a system take over and control a strictly PvP room. We'd be messing around in PvE and...

Oh, but DRM is my enemy. Long live piracy!

Discussion: Energy/Mana, Cooldowns, or something else?

Or maybe some energy weapons, on the enemy's side, wouldn't necessarily siphon it, but could simply cause them to leak it and "bleed" into the immediate environment, randomly lashing lightning bolts causing damage to others nearby and the process would hamper the affected frame's movement and...

Ahah! Steam crap. I don't use that either. :D

Anyone else disappointed with the new Combiner Wars series?

For one, the episodes are way too short. Two, the animation is below standard. It seems more fluid with Windblade, but the sound effects accompanying their movements and attacks are lacking in power. Three, a few characters behave slightly out of character, or rather, their lines are just not...

Gliding - Should our Mechs need pads, at all?

Pity the fool who hath forgotten their flip-flops!

    Ironsighting and Scoping-in...with a Mech? Alt-Fire instead.

Sure, but that, uh...input...should/could easily be separate from secondary-fire. It could be player determined via options menu whether they'd want the camera to snap to the barrel on secondary or even primary-fire. Have it for both fire-modes. Those who play MMOs and such shooters in FPS-mode...

    Groups /armies/outfits/clans | Squads | Platoon management

Also the different ranges for the chat. Shout /s in 150m (or other) radius. then yell /y in a 450m (or other) radius...etc. Liked that in FF. Group Bounties and personal Bounties, too. Also, the ability to see squad and platoon mate's gear and abilities, so we can make up for what we...

Must those ports be exposed, though?

Discussion: Energy/Mana, Cooldowns, or something else?

One would really have to decide what to tune their mech's power-reserves for. Faster ability usage or more mobility via more efficient boosters. Love that! Strike a balance between the two, also, if one wishes.

Gliding - Should our Mechs need pads, at all?

Absolutely not. I want boosters/jump-jet and the wings on my mech to glide around with.

Yeah, but then recoil enters the picture, right? That's what they screwed up, by taking it out of the game, as I was told me, here. So that's how much recoil matters. It's unbalances weapons and their purpose. And some actually want recoil to not be a thing in Ember?

Oh...sorry! Already deleted the game and that Arc installer crap it came with.

Discussion: Energy/Mana, Cooldowns, or something else?

What about those Ophanim buggers that could disable our jets and energy with that continuous arc of electricity they fired at us. Like a debilitating tether. And in Ember, it could also affect cooldowns, too. One would need to take out enemies like that quickly to be able to regain mobility and...

Gliding - Should our Mechs need pads, at all?

Can't see why either of those ideas couldn't be a thing. It could be an emergency response, too. Get ejected from your mech before it is...teleported?...back to the garage, while you shoot up in the air and deploy some wings to fly back. Because maybe they can't teleport organic matter, so they...

Could be an in-game reference to FF. :D I'm sure the devs will put in some stuff to that effect.

Discussion: Energy/Mana, Cooldowns, or something else?

Well, god damn it. We have another gear-part, in the form of the power core and its optional Accumulator, around which a whole forest of ability or skill-trees and mods could be planted. I like the idea of using different cores and their energy to prioritize and/or buff certain abilities and...
