    Horizontal Weapon theory:

Oh, and not just equipment, but cosmetics and other stuff. Make the player work for it, but not forever. Oh, boy... If it wasn't for that bug with the 8 Titan Tokens giving you rewards in the form of tinker tools, besides the xp, after the weekly reset, on Baneclaw...it would literally take...

1 or 2 characters per account? Independent of each other.

Just remembered that...I think it was in Defiance, also...were you had an account name, but I could have 2 different characters, each with their own name and in-game it would display my account name below my character's name, so people could still tell it was me, just with a different character...

    Horizontal Weapon theory:

Oh, yeah. I forgot that a non-F2P game should have reasonable demands for crafting recipes and whatnot. The problem I always had with MMOs was the insane requirements to get anywhere with obtaining better equipment and upgrading it.

    Horizontal Weapon theory:

Hmmm...I actually like this idea. I don't know if it would present more work for the developers to create dozens of different weapons, or to just design dozens and dozens of modular parts that besides the stats and behavior they would alter on the weapon, they'd alter it's appearance, either...

1 or 2 characters per account? Independent of each other.

After I returned to Firefall, a year and half later, I was surprised and elated that I had the option to create another character, on the same account, with a different name, starting over. They have separate inventories and I cannot mail items between them. As it should be. My first...

    Horizontal Weapon theory:

Dunno. In DEFIANCE, the way it worked, was that you could get to...uh...I think level 20 with every type of vehicle, cars, quads..etc. and every level gave some bonus stat. Stronger, longer boost. Handling, maybe. Speed. But, yeah. Unlocking a vehicle permanently could be accomplished through...

    Horizontal Weapon theory:

Like both ideas you two mentioned. If I recall the devs said we'll have skill-progression for the different vehicles we'll use. So, why not have those for weapons. Like in DEFIANCE. With a limit. Using a single type of weapon would earn you experience with it, up to a point, granting you small...

Something similar to SIN (+ targeting and HUD)

They'd have remote sensors as deployables. An early warning system if the task was to defend a certain area. Or they could use said deployables to not only enhance their sensory range, even through debilitating weather effects, but to scan for resources, ore veins...etc.

Something similar to SIN (+ targeting and HUD)

Yes! I forgot to include weather effects. A myriad of them. Rain, acid-rain. Dense fog. Electrical storm. Ion storm (nerfs jetpacks if not outright disables them for the duration. And aircraft, transports can't take off, a la C&C Tiberian Sun. Might not be scientifically sound). Weather effects...

Will we able to pick our MOM?

    An AI with Tourette's.

    First Milestone Shipped and Completed!

Well, not bolting! Just open and close. Like a...capsule or something. The chassis could fold in or open up to let me climb in and out of the cockpit. *shrug* But, different thread.

Something similar to SIN (+ targeting and HUD)

*MUST NOT GO ON A RANT ABOUT RECON SUPREMACY* *FAILED* *RANT* Well... *chuckle* It was only spray and win to all other frames, except recon and perhaps electrons. Frames that actually needed skill not just to aim but to stay alive and avoid damage, as well. :p The only thing recons have is...

    What about quests?

Like the idea of making even something as simple as escort assignments have utility beyond the small or scaled reward they'd give. But, leave the badgers alone! The thing I disliked in the Witcher games was the horribly clunky combat. Felt awkward and sluggish. 2 didn't improve at all...

Something similar to SIN (+ targeting and HUD)

A group effort. To explore areas, uncover secrets, gather information on the environment and the creatures there, then help new comers get their footing better, by feeding the info until they get their own sensors upgraded, so they can continue the cycle.

Something similar to SIN (+ targeting and HUD)

Another thing that began bouncing around in my head, when I hit the bed, after coming home from my sixth night-shift in a row. It began by me not being able to recall and wondering if thumpers had any visual cues on them, for the status of their health and how far the resource extraction was...

    Keeping the science in sci-fi

No. That series never peaked my interest. Well, I should rephrase what I said. I haven't seen such animation in an MMO title, then.

    Melding

Should the shield go down? That would make the pilot very vulnerable, depending on the type of clothing they'd be wearing, when piloting the mech. If they're dressed in something casual they should be harmed a lot more than someone who is wearing a mechanics jumpsuit or light to heavy armor...

    First Milestone Shipped and Completed!

Well, I'm weird. I'm both easily pleased and nit-picky as hell, at the same time. But, I already talked about it in the Omni-frame thread, how one simple alteration can make me like the whole mech-thing. Which would be the covering-up of the cock-pit. As an option! I emphasize. :) As an option...

    First Milestone Shipped and Completed!

Mmm...thinking...not sure what that picture means. I'm not even going to use the excuse that English isn't my native language, as I speak it better than my mother tongue. I would say it's "straight from the horses mouth" at first glance, but that saying cannot really be applied to this...

    First Milestone Shipped and Completed!

Well, I never actually said it was "bad business". I mean, it could still be good business, on the side. But, that's not how it happened, as you said. I didn't know how all this shipping, back-and-forth, works. So, thanks for explaining. I think I get it know and if I understand it right, those...
