His language for talking about these artifacts and properties is unusual. He can teach others to use specific objects, but those people take major sanity-damage that only heals when they forget.
He frequently uses ordinary objects in wrong non-magical ways as well. For example he sits under his chair when possible, makes a gesture before opening doors, and wields a sword like a gun.
