After a lot of work, we have adapted the IK system in Unreal to work with the "backwards" legs of the Tsi-Hu. Behold the Disco!

Adding dynamics to the Tsi-Hu Jewelry. Testing out UE4 methods on right shoulderpad. Will try 2 more techniques and compare to see which is most efficient.

We have full dangly bits! At the waist too! Tested 3 methods of doing this, UE4, vs RBAN (rigid body) UE5 and Kawaii physics (fake physics 3rd party plugin).

Worked on core game loop. Outlines key loops in game types under consideration. Worked on how to bolster story to support the game loops more directly. Novel is going to need a redraft but that was anticipated anyhow.

The main issue is that Firefall's core loop during beta was thumping, and that had 2 issues.

First is that it should have been expanded to be the primary activity, more variation, more progression in thumping, and use it to drive you around the map and make you go thump in riskier areas.

The 2nd was there wasn't enough to spend your resources on. Crafting was pretty atrophied and there wasn't much to unlock and nothing changed cosmetically or gameplay wise much past the basics. Tuning was not enough.

Today was chief chat day. Prepped builds and got ready to stream. After the stream debugged settings to fix streaming lag/issues. They seem to be gone for now, but unsure what caused them.

Also debugged the new xbox controller and got it working with the build. The new xbox Elite 2 is a really nice feeling controller. Looking foward to supporting controllers from the get go on the new build.

Up until now we've focused only on forwards and backwards movement.

Here we aret starting to branch out in turning and some basic strafing, all guided by controller for now.

Identified anims with clipping shoulderpads and tasked them out. Evaluating current Tsi-Hu locomotion system for next steps.

9 Animtions have been fixed for the shoulder pad issue. Started work on small "get hit" animations for when Tsi-Hu are fired upon, and also first version of dodge which isn't were we want it to be quite yet.

We did a test of the new dodge animation. Still needs work on the root bone to ensure that we don't slide at the end transition when we move from dodge to idle.

Adding split body animation to enable firing while walking or running without have to do separate animations. This is a common animation saving technique used in almost all shooter.
