An idea about abilities I had once in FireFall

Fun fact actually, back when the combat update of 1.5 or 1.6 was happening, CloudChaser, the Senior Systems Designer who took over the combat overhaul after c0wb0y left, posted on the forums about how he was working on ability combos for firefall. I can't find his actual post but I can remember...

    THMPR TIME!

Cool Vids! As for the drop kick it's just hard to expect something that big to have such a jump(Like the mech goes almost sideways and lands on its feet) but it could work

    Hard armor and Soft armor

If we are getting technical here, wouldn't graphene-based armor be vastly superior to any alternative? Like it would have a theoretical tensile strength greater than kevlar and other alternatives, so what would be the point in having a "hard armor" if the soft armor is stronger and lighter?

I think it will happen eventually, in some degree. I'm expecting something akin to the Sunken Harbor arena later on.

The good old days ... will be back?!

Any chance we can throw wall-riding into the mix? I have to say, its super-intuitive and after playing lucio and titanfall 2 a bunch base movement in other games doesn't feel the same without it.

Make some art while we wait!?

People have been making art in the dead time(cough me). If you haven't already, check out Heinesnow's render of the omnimek.

    NightStroke's Sketchbook

Made some weapon concepts! I saw @HeineSnow 's render of the omnimek and I really liked how he made the weapon carried like a heavy machine gun, with an ammo belt linked to some sort of storage unit on that empty space on the omnimek's back. I made a few weapons (yes, I really wanted an...

    HeineSnow Art Related??

That looks SICK!!! Love the look of the ammo cartridge on the back plus the ammo belt. Looks like a world-boss in a sci-fi game.

    HeineSnow Art Related??

Just curious if you have already modeled the whole thing would Kern be able to import it and use it as a headstart on modeling the omnimek? Great work btw.

    EM-8ERs base construction system

I thought of this because @Silv3r Shadow said "satellite", but floating geometry should totally be allowed; bases hovering above the ground, terrain floating above the base terrain, etc. Aerial stuff tends to make the game immersive(I can still remember that awesome feeling when chosen dropships...

Procedural Textures - Milestone BONUS feature

I'm not sure if this was a result of lighting from the constant nighttime in antartica, or whether the snow/ice was painted as such, but the blue/purple hue within the snow and ice looked really nice in firefall: Otherwise texture looks nice!

    EM-8ERs base construction system

I agree, a modular method is the way to go. My first and one of my most precious video games from when I was younger was Lego Universe, which had a system where every player had their own "instance" where they could build whatever they wanted to. While building from individual lego pieces was...
