Its just stupid you made this section for flamewars and now you lock every single flamerwar thread. If you dont want flamewars then why the fuck did you make this sub forum?

The info on this sections heading clearly states that Ad hom attacks aren't allowed even in this section. If a thread devoles to the point where ad hom is a common argument the thread gets locked.

Note: Flamewars do not have to include Ad Hom attacks.

what else do you all expect to happen when people privately message Mark Kern over stupid arguments that occur in discord and forums or other social sites.

Kern and his team is trying to use their time to efficiently to create Ember and he and his team is getting hassled over stupid crap that the moderators of the forums should be able to handle. So ... of course they must have been told to start applying a heavy hand to everyone because people keep wasting their time with this stupid crap.

Hey at least it isn't as bad as the over moderation at Ubisoft where they have taken steps to make even their forums a bigger piece of shit then one of their games.

Ubisoft having a Forum worse than their games..... sorry, i couldn't imagine something so bad.


anti-flood with a 2 minute timer is pretty extreme. 10 seconds is much better. because there's no way a real user could realistically post twice in two seconds unless it's just single word shitposting that doesn't do anything useful.
it's definitely annoying as hell if a Forum complains you're posting too fast when you're writing constructive things.
