"The COVID ate my homework"
Three Cyber Ninjas got COVID, delaying $6M Arizona vote “audit”

“The team expected to have the full draft ready for the Senate today, but unfortunately Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan and two other members of the five-person audit team have tested positive for COVID-19 and are quite sick,” Arizona Senate President Karen Fann said in a statement. It’s not clear whether any of the people were vaccinated against the virus.

Voting rights restored to 55,000 North Carolinians
In a 2-1 decision, judge quickly ruled in favor of overturning 150 years of felon disenfranchisement, even after release from prison.

The largest expansion of voting rights in North Carolina since the 26th Amendment lowered the voting age to 18 in 1971 and the largest expansion of disproportionately Black enfranchisement since the federal Voting Rights Act of 1965 is happening today.

Effective immediately, the state can no longer prevent people convicted of a state or federal felony, and who are still under supervision but are not in prison, from voting. That is more than 55,000 people.
