A Chester County man admitted he voted illegally in his son’s name in the 2020 election
Ralph Thurman, 72, entered a guilty plea to repeat voting in elections during a hearing Friday before Chester County Court Judge Jeffrey R. Sommer. As part of the negotiated plea, Thurman was sentenced to three years’ probation.

John Tate and Jesse Benton were convicted in 2016 of various public corruption charges for paying an Iowa state senator to switch his endorsement to then-U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, during his 2012 presidential campaign, days before the first-in-the-nation nominating event. Sen. Kent Sorenson, an Indianola Republican, had been a supporter of U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.
"Marc Mukasey of Mukasey Frenchman LLP informed a New York state Supreme Court judge in Manhattan that he was withdrawing from the case on Sept. 14," reported Zach Everson. "The move comes one day after a judge's order to seal a stipulation between the parties was filed. Before that agreement, the docket shows no activity in this case since January. It's not clear if there's any connection between the agreement and Mukasey's departure."
"Mukasey declined to comment on the record for this story," said the report. "He has represented Eric Trump in the case since it was filed in August 2020. Eric and representatives from the Trump Organization have not replied to inquiries."
