Despite it, unlike a lot of things, not being something I want to make, I expanded on Pretty Dope at 3 am yesterday.

Dreamy Poppy, Baker Mary and Brilliant Lucy form Pretty Dope.

BM is the leader, the brains, and the one most invested in their role as magical girls. she has to constantly manipulate her teammates to make the team function, and hates them too much to feel guilty about it.
she can use earthbending, but is mostly a stealth/social character, and makes heavy use of mundane drugged food for that. also has a handgun.

DP is the muscle. she's extremely lazy and thoughtless and usually just goes along with whatever BM says if BM can even get her attention.
she can project her consciousness invisibly and intangibly, briefly manifest it as a strong melee fighter, and impose her mental state (usually sleepy or at least distracted by something stupid) on people by passing her projected consciousness through them. she is asleep while doing this, and it has a range of a couple kilometers, so they need to move her body for some missions. her natural body looks boyish while her projected consciousness is more feminine.

BL is the newbie. BM treats her like an intern. she's fairly intelligent, and is the only one who knows what BM is really like, but is also in love with DP and rationalizes everything in her favor (like believing DP is keeping BM on the team by letting her believe she's in charge).
she can see magic, including DP's projected consciousness, and also has body horror transformation powers.

Pure Heroine and Crystal Meth are other magical girls

Pure Heroine is a highly competent lone wolf and actually serious magical girl. a reocurring plot is PD trying to recruit her. a one-off plot is her falling in love with DP out of uniform (believing her to be a boy), then thinking PD are kidnapping her crush when she sees them transporting her sleeping body.
she has mostly team-buff and heal powers (that also affect herself), but is a good enough martial artist that she's more effective in combat than the entiretly of PD on her own.

Crystal Meth is a rival. a smug rich girl character, who mostly fights using hired mundane mercenaries (that are frequently killed horribly) because nobody can stand her without being paid. a plot is her headhunting BM, leaving BL in charge of PD.
she can produce a fine dust that is antithesis to the main antagonists. she can use this dust to create dust explosions, harden it into solid crystals, and coat weapons with it to allow her mercenaries to fight without magic of their own. she doesn't have any mobility powers, and instead uses helicopters that make it impossible to hear her monologues and are usually destroyed at some point.

more Pretty Dope thoughts

Brilliant Lucy's default combat transformation is a very tall and muscular male body with her head, shoulders and arms sticking out where its head should be.

in one scene, Dreamy Poppy moves through a hostile human man to disable him like usual, but instead of falling asleep he has an overly dramatic internal breakdown including a change in art-style as he doubts both his masculinity and his maturity. after he's thought several lines, what it's about is revealed. with his face in shadow, a shipping-chart for a shojo anime (the thing DP was thinking about) he watched with his daughter the day before appears behind him. "How can I look my wife in the face?"
Pretty Dope don't notice his breakdown, as falling over in fetal position is a normal result and they don't see his face.

in one scene, Baker Mary needs a ranged option. her solution is to create two-meter walls of rock around one of Crystal Meth's mercs and threaten to drop a large rock on him unless he throws his guns out. he does, but she doesn't remove the walls. he gets out several days later because rainwater has filled his prison to the neck so he can swim up and reach the top of the wall.

eventually, there is a plot where elusive humans are trying to assassinate PD. they are eventually revealed to be everyone PD has intentionally or unintentionally traumatized.

COMEDY!
