Prominent Senate Republican warns Trump trial could spark more impeachments

“If it is a good idea to impeach and try former Presidents, what about former Democratic Presidents when Republicans get the majority in 2022? Think about it and let’s do what is best for the country,” Senator John Cornyn, a 19-year veteran of the Senate, said in a Twitter post directed at Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

I got the impression that the only real reason why they want to do this is to invalidate any orders or pardons he made prior to leaving office.

In case you had any doubts the Democrats want a repeat of the 2020 style election (with it being wide open to voting inconsistencies) the first bill being passed through congress is mass mail voting at the federal level and restricting states from requiring ID, signature verification etc etc.
This should worry everyone as the bill proposes the OPPOSITE of what most major countries consider a secure election.
There is NO logical reason for this bill except to guarentee the election to be open to inconsistencies and fraud.
Absolutely Positively Insane

Trump jumps into a divisive battle over the Republican Party — with a threat to start a ‘MAGA Party’

Former president Donald Trump threw himself back into politics this weekend by publicly endorsing a devoted and divisive acolyte in Arizona who has embraced his false election conspiracy theories and entertained the creation of a new "MAGA Party."

In a recorded phone call, Trump offered his “complete and total endorsement” for another term for Arizona state party chairwoman Kelli Ward, a lightning rod who has sparred with the state’s Republican governor, been condemned by the business community and overseen a recent flight in party registrations. She narrowly won reelection, by a margin of 51.5 percent to 48.5 percent, marking Trump’s first victory in a promised battle to maintain political relevance and influence after losing the 2020 election.

reading through it and found these gems....

the online voting part requires confirmation of electronic signatures via only using the last 4 digits of a social security number. The electronic signature is pulled from state agencies. Oh and these are automatic registrations provided a citizen has a signature on file with state or federal agencies.

I had a tenant that died a few years from cancer. She still got government mail being sent to the building. One of our current tenants opened it up, to try to find out why the government is spamming them, to find out that a few different agencies of the USA government doesn't know she is dead. They sent mail back to those agencies informing them to stop spamming since she passed away. They got mail back asking the dead person to prove she is dead. This is NYC. Voter fraud is just going to get worse with this bill.
