Dang! My brother in law, a retired Army Ranger, just got hired along with 3 other friends to run private security for some stores in the diamond district in NYC! BIG MONEY! Plus they are setting them up with suites in some luxury hotel around the corner.
I take it some NYC small businesses have had enough of looters!

Thought some of you would get a kick out of this. It's TRUE.

I bumped into an old high school chum the other day at the store. Hadn't seen him in decades. We reminisced about how we used to drive to Boston in the late 80s- early 90s and go to the crappiest bars in the combat zone as we were underage and they would serve us.
He told a story I had forgotten..
I was a scrapper, short slim 130 lbs but WAY outta my league when we went to Boston. 6 of us went to a new bar called Pete's we heard about. I knew it was a bad idea as the bouncer at the door had a lanyard around his neck with a mouth-guard attached to it.
Bar was packed solid. We just got in and were trying to make our way through the crowd to the bar. It seemed like every guy in their was 6 feet tall and hammered.
Just as our little group made it to the bar proper to order drinks all the background chatter stopped. All you could hear was the music. To this day none of us know what started it, but all of a sudden a brawl started in the far corner of the bar. All you could see was fists flying and bodies moving. My buddy Mark says "time to go" and it was a race to get through the tightly packed mob of bodies to the exit before the fight caught up to us, as it was expanding like spilled milk through the crowd behind us, threatening to engulf us.
We made it out the door and I swear I looked over my shoulder and the whole bar was fighting, at least 100 people.
What stood out the most was as we made it outside the last thing I saw inside was a huge guy laying on his back with a young girl straddling him punching him in the face.
I remember laughing as we ran because I couldn't imagine what led up to the one big guy laying knocked out with a little drunk girl smashing him in the face.
Boston at that time was VERY different than it is today. It was like the wild west back then.
