In many MMORPG, death is just nothing but relocation with penalties, in experience, money or other things..
In UO, if your character died you had to play in a ghost until you met someone who could revive you with magic or bandages(what?). I only played WoW in closed beta but I remember it had the same concept of death and revival.
In SWG, there was no ghost but a bacta tank was used for bringing dead back to life.
Planetside wasn't RPG but it still explained respawn system in nano technology.
Background of Ember is set in the future. I wonder what kind of technology will be used to make dead people back on their feet?
I personally think that reconstruction of body sounds cool.
