I believe a good leader leads by example.
I have a personality disorder which isn't abnormal, most people in this society do. The hardest part of overcoming a personality disorder is not try to overcome it, waiting for it to fix itself. I also had severe PTSD and had it for fifteen years, only a year ago did i become aware of it. This came along with social anxieties. I've tried to overcome my social anxieties a lot but i was always bumping up against resistance. Little did i know, that resistance was my nervous system, go figure right.
I'm also highly sensitive, i was not aware of this most of my life either so i decided to give up on gaming (at least for a long time) and most internet stuff in general. Not completely as it then still controls my life but on the very low end of moderation.
One of the main reasons i fought so hard to overcome this is because i like the performing arts, always have but you can see how this could be a bit of a problem. If you can play a decent instrument, you can make a decent (enough) living just playing on a corner somewhere, it is doable. If you can juggle fire torches you can easily go from one cafe or restaurant to the next that has outside seating and the amount of money you can make in a short amount of time is pretty ridicules. Now imagine if you can do both. This is why i always say people should make their kids focus on their constructive hobbies, not so much their school or carrier, because in this day and age this is more a recipe for failure than it is for success.
For the past year or so i've been working at overcoming these issues with quite a bit of success this summer, meeting a lot of other street performers and just generally alternative people in general. One guy that i met, was traveling the world as a street magician. It's again situational but when he was hanging out with us, he certainly wasn't going to starve any time soon.
I mean how cool is that, he's traveling the world and (mostly) paying for it with a deck of cards. For accommodations there are always alternatives.
Dream big or go home.
