If I had a nickel for everytime this happens to me whenever I browse DA or FA, I would have retired in luxury.
I know the feeling. I usually feel better thinking how someone who was born blind can draw, paint and color things more accuretly than some people with art school diplomas about Calart or something. (Or the guy who went to the bathroom just to push too hard and pop a blood vessel inside his head so now he paints like Leonardo Da Vinci but can barely remember his own name or address)
My point? Don't get disheartened but study those who you feel are better than you and see if you could adapt fragments or pieces of their style in to yours. I didn't want to use the:"Don't get disheartened, get inspired" line ^^
