So yesterday, i think it was, I had this idea of posting the story as to what happened during my tabletop RPG sessions every saturday. I'll most likely post said stories every sunday since i usually come back home after midnight on saturday. Some people seemed interested in me telling what happens every saturday, which is what compelled me into doing this (of course i'm doing this willingly as well).

I have mentioned on discord that there is multiple ongoing campaigns right now, and that during the afternoon we usually play Warhammer Fantasy or Stormbringer in a custom setting, and during the evening, we play stormbringer in this same custom setting, but on the other side of said world. All 3 of those have a different GM, just to be precise.

I'll probably post each update in the comments of this thread in 2 parts, one for the afternoon and one for the evening. But first what's necessary is a summary of what happened since the beggining of each adventure, we haven't played too much on any of those yet, so it shouldn't be too long.

First summary : Stormbringer with The Northern dwarfs (usually played during the afternoon)

For this RPG, we started in another system, we switched to stormbringer and that's from where i'll start. We got teleported into another dimension (to explain the change of world and roleplaying system) And ended up in the north, In a mine where quickly met a large group of goblins, Battle ensues and the goblins get absolutely annihilated, some do manage to flee. We then meet with an old dwarf who was hiding in this same mine with his treasure, he had been hiding there for about 20 years, if i'm correct. Surviving however he could, he was already an experienced dawi to say the least, being about 300 years old when we met him. He asked us to escort him to an outpost near the main city of the dwarfs of this world, in exchange he would share his treasure with us. We agreed since we had nowhere to go anyways, being lost in another world, he then guided us to said outpost, while we were being followed by the remainder of the goblins we had just fought, after about a week of travelling, we arrived to a grim sight, the outpost was in abandoned and in ruins, we decided we would spend the night there, after the elder had told us the main city had been lost about 30 years ago due to some chaos dwarfs from another dimension killing them all and turning the dead into zombies. He then told us about one last outpost he knew of and we decided we would head there in the morning.

Early that night, we felt an earthquake starting, we all went to the main room, only to notice a giant stone golem was starting to rise from the ground, most of us decided making an espace through the tunnels was the best option. Meanwhile one of our slayers couldn't control himself after seeing such a threat and having a chance to die, he immediately started attacking, while our team's ranger, who was also near him, started climbing on the golem, who was still rising from the ground. While the rest of us was digging our way through the crumbled tunnel entrance, the ranger and the slayer fought, early in the fight, the ranger decided to shout out :
"we're dwarfs! we wish to do no evil!"
Suddenly, A Small, dwarf-sized Iron Golem rushed out of the shadows and attacked the golem, We then learned that the ranger had seen a shadow walk around during the night while he was on his turn of lookout. This shadow was too small to be human and too big to be a goblin, said golem was unsure if we were chaos dwarfs or not, which is why he stayed hidden and observed us, and upon knowing our goodwill, wanted to help and save us. The fight proceeded, and as we finished clearing the tunnel entrance, we all returned, seeing the stone golem having half of his neck missing due to the Iron golem attacks, we decided to join in and help our fellow dwarfs who were having trouble, while the slayer was heavily wounded. We then discovered due to slight shine that the stone golem had a core in his chest, which is where we decided to concentrate our attacks, as i arrived in the room and discovered that the core was the target, i readied one of my dynamites and threw it, with a critical success, it perfectly landed and exploded in his chest, completely clearing the way to his core, which our ranger struck and cut in half. We had defeated the Stone golem.

After the fight was over and while our healer tended to the slayer's wounds, the Iron golem told us he was machine of rune and forge, made to defend the dwarfen kingdom long ago, he had awakened during the chaos dwarf's invasion, and had been torn apart by fighting with them. Only being half of his original size and needing to go offline for years at a time to refill his energy. Being the protector of our specie, he joined us on our travel to join up with the rest of the dwarfs. We then travelled for about two weeks to the outpost the elder had spoken of. When we arrived, we saw what filled our hearts with joy and sadness. We had found other dwarfs, but there was only about 60 of them, and it was all that remained of northern dwarfs. We Joined them and learned fearsome news, a group of orks was coming to us, said group contained 10 trolls and about 40 orks. We only had about a day to prepare for the assault, during this day we readied the outpost with traps, some reinforcements and, me being a miner and an alchemist, prepared some molotovs, knowing trolls are weak to fire.

The battle went on perfectly, we had slain 7 trolls and a handfull of orks, while not having a single loss, only having us and 10 warriors from the village, the others being women, children or elders too old to fight. Our two slayers had heroically charged ten orks and two trolls who were coming straight to the entrance of the hold, in an attempt to slow them down or perhaps even kill them all, which would have given us an advantage as their forces were very spread out. They both survived, extremely wounded after their heroic action. We then fortified the outpost however we could and reclaimed the inside part that was inaccessible, due to very old crumblings of the corridors (those having, from our judgement, been sabotaged by dwarfs who left this place very long ago so that no greenskin could access them).

The elders of the village decided it would be best to leave the north and head south, since over 300 years ago, a fairly large expedition of dwarfs was sent to the south to establish trade routes and colonise other lands, but had never contacted the north afterwards. We had no idea if they would still be alive, but hoped that at least the south would be less dangerous than the northern lands, and to avoid the chaos dwarfs. The expedition was set to start in about a year, so that the youngest would be old enough to endure it. We have started preparations each in our own ways, I ordered enough Ingredients and items in the nordic village a bit south from us to prepare about 200 molotovs for our trip south, as well as some spyglasses, to extract the glass and use it to make long-sight helmets, which would help our ranged fighters fire more accurately and further. Most of the other players decided to train their abilities and improve themselves in the meantime, and this is where we left off last time we played.

Second summary : Stormbringer with the Dwarfs of the island of the diamond (played during the evening)

In this one, we play as the descendants of the dwarfs that went to the south over 300 years ago to establish trade routes, but couldn't manage it. For a quick info : The island of the diamond and it's surroundings is where most adventures happen on this world, we've rarely played elsewhere. The island is named this way because it is shaped like a diamond, and is at the very south of the world, only having an ocean after that. the only access to the island is either by sea, or during low waters, which is when monsters and such from the continent tend to try and attack, the island contains some of nearly every specie on the world, for a few exemples : Dwarfs, Samurais, Monkey Men, humans and more. In this adventure we play as the dwarfs of Karak Izril, the hold situated in the mountain, which is in the middle of the island, 150 years ago the hold was invaded by greenskins and lost, the surviving dwarfs split into two clans and went to the east or the west. We play as the western dwarfs and we have decided, while coordinating with the eastern ones to take back our home.

The campaign started with The western king summoning us, each for our own qualities, and sent us on a side mission to open the gates, while the rest of the warriors charged, so that the goblins would be unable to fall back and we could get a foothold on the western door. the operation went on smoothly, the door was retaken and the main access to next room sealed, we only have about 150 warriors if my numbers are correct, our main advantage while retaking the hold is we'll know most of the hidden side passageways, which the goblins usually don't know about. At this point i joined the adventure, i hadn't played the first part, My character is a dwarf ranger from the north, having explored the world for 80 years and now arriving to the very bottom of it. I am obviously unaware of the fall of the north since it only happened 30 years ago and arrived 2 days prior to the Western dwarfs attacking Karak Izril to retake it. I gladly decided to join them in their fight, now knowing that the expedition sent to the south over 300 years ago hadn't been lost. After the western door had been retaken and a foothold had been secured, i met with them in the control room, we all proceeded to plan what would happen next, from here, we had access to 3 rooms, the Marketplace #2, the Storage #2 and the Forge. It was already decided that retaking and securing the forge was the most important part of the invasion, as it is an access to the Mines #3, which is where the greenskins invaded from 150 years ago, as well as being a way to make new equipment, gear and especially, a way to craft what is required to block some access to greenskins use. If we manage to take all 3 rooms, the only ways for the Greenskin to attack will be from the western door itself where we came in, which would be suicidal of them, or from the access to the great room in the middle of the hold, which will be heavily defended after we manage to get it.

We then proceeded to find side passages, got some warriors at each door, since each access from a room to another is locked by a door on each side, said doors being unlocked at the moment, which allows the greenskins to roam freely. 3 warriors suffice to hold a door, we first went to the nearest one, the door that links the market and the western entrance, readied some dwarfs there and proceeded to the next one, we kept going until we had dwarfs ready to lock the door from the market to the forge and from the market to the storage. We then went to the forge, only to find out that it was a small ork settlement, We still had 5 warriors with us (oh and said warriors can also be refered to as "tunnel fighters"). We decided to first ready to lock the 2 doors of the forge, which were special mythril doors, since the forge is the most important room. After those doors are locked, nothing will pass through.

After our engineer (npc) readied the locks, we started assassinating some of the orks, after having killed 3 of them, a patrol found our miner hiding and sounded the alarm, we were split in two groups, one was our miner and one of our tunnel fighters holding the stairway to the top floor, the other being us, our 5 tunnel fighter (npcs) and our engineer (npc) holding the control room. The fight lasted for exactly 90 seconds, in 90 seconds, we had killed 68 orks in full plate armor, during the fight we had discovered there were some dwarf held prisoner as slaves in the forge. We used multiple different means of killing them, including old traps the engineer knew about, some magic by our rock sorcerer and a whole lot of efficiency in fighting with bolts and shield walls. During said fight, our tunnel fighter fighting alongside the miner sounded his horn, to signal for every door to close, sealing access to every room and making the greenskin unable to move around and reinforce others. It took us 90 seconds to retake the forge, not counting the part where we sneaked in and prepared to close the doors. the GM had planned for it to take us a few weeks, but we proceeded perfectly. The dwarfs that were held prisoner rioted and helped us fight them as well, there was no wounded during this fight on our side. There is about 60 dwarfs that were held as slaves now on our side. This is were we left off last time.

It sounds like a very interesting RPG!
I still wonder how everyone keeps their multiple characters stats and knowledge separate. Playing more than one character is sometimes difficult enough. However Playing multiple characters that are in the same realm, on the same continent but, in different geographic locations? I can't even imagine trying to keep all that straight.

If I don't see you before, have fun this Saturday! ^_^

I just mostly wondered if there was like someone writting those events down and does everyone have like a writing pad or something where they write those details up or is there like a app for it?
It sounds like fun activity ^^
Nope, don't think there's such an app either, i Simply wrote all of this by memory, and skipped some details or boring parts

Could video or audio record the game sessions and post those, or use those to help write your summary.
Unfortunately that wouldn't be possible, i don't really have anything to record, and if i did, we're french and we all speak french, at best, if you're on Faeryl's level on french understanding, you'll grab a few things here and there. But no worries, my memory still works really well!

I no longer recall to this detail the fun nights I have had in DnD. I just know I had some crazy friends who would get up and act out everything their character did. But I do miss my dragoon tank. Oh and my friends thought I was a bad ass DM. They loved my storylines in the campaigns I ran. Never got to finish one though. The best one o had though, for the final fight I was going to get one of those 3' diameter Styrofoam balls and cut out and color the site. Was going to be multi leveled insanity.

Alright, here it goes, was a fun day yesterday.

Stormbringer with the northern dwarfs :

Continuing to spend time waiting for the year to pass so the kids that are too young would be old enough and for the boat we ordered in a human pirate village a bit south would be ready. Taking back to where we left off last time now.

After leaving the human village, having ordered and bought all that was needed, we headed back home, to our little outpost. On the way there, one evening, we got surrounded by 9 wolf-bears, Those were hungry and wanted to eat some of the smoked fish barrels we had. There being only 6 of us, including one dwarf merchant who wasn't a fighter. We made the wolf-bears flee, having killed one of them and severely wounded another, not without loss however, as we had lost 9 of the 30 barrels in the fight, destroyed or emptied. The rest of the way home was without trouble. Meanwhile, in the forests near our outpost, our ranger, the ranger npc and our assassin were scavenging for medicinal herbs, or plants that could be used to make poisons, as well as fighting some greenskins, or in this case, hiding from a large group of greenskins, hiding so well that they couldn't see anything. So they waited for the ruckus around them to quiet down before they left, they also made their way home safely afterwards.

During a few weeks after having returned, we all occupied ourselves in whichever way we wanted, training, exploring, or in my case mining and preparing some molotovs, dwarf alchemist-miner-inventor! about 3 weeks after our return, 2 women and 3 kids disappeared. We then proceeded to search for them using every mean available to us, but with no success so far, only learning of a room that was there when the dwarfs first built this outpost hundreds of years ago, a room of dark magic. It was sealed as soon as it was discovered, so that no one could access it, dark magic being something dwarfs hate. Now, to be continued next time.

Stormbringer with the southern dwarfs :

Having successfully taken back the forge, in the amazing amount of time of 90 seconds, we took the prisoners with us back to the western door, where they were healed and tended to. We then met up with the king and his captains, to who we told that the forges were now ours, the king being extremely surprised, and then hitting his captain, who told him retaking the forge would at least require many days, as well as many more men. The next, very urgent deed to accomplish was to send reinforcements to the 6 guards holding the forge, who can hold up to 50 for maximal efficiency, 12 being the strict minimum to constantly hold it. There was also the need to make some vent covers, so that goblins wouldn't use those to attack, we needed 3 to block all of the vents in the western door, problem was none of the prisoners we saved were in shape to forge more, so 4 of us along with the master craftsman (npc), headed to the forge to make those vent covers. Our craftsman, the master craftsman npc and myself, the northern ranger, were the ones who knew how to forge and were going to do so, while the other 2, both miners, would protect us in case any remaining greenskin would attempt to attack us.

It turned this was a good idea, as a goblin assassin attempted to kill one of our miners with his bow, who didn't get hit thanks to his thick armor. He told the other miner to keep watch while he chased down said assassin, who he then followed into a natural tunnel, one we hadn't yet discovered. Keeping his guard up, he kept chasing down the small greenskin assassin, up until he heard two voices, about 10 seconds later, from a corner not far in front of him, emerged two orks as well as said goblin assassin, shouting happily as he hadn't planned to stumble upon 2 of his stronger kin. Ready to fight, our miner got his shield and hammer ready, and waited for the orks to charge, steel weapons in hand and a steel resolve in heart. But as the orks almost got to melee, a heavy weight fell on our miner's back, sticking to it like glue, a medium sized giant slug, which was about as long a his backside, started tearing off pieces of his armor. This unexpected turn of event became a real problem, as he had lost his helmet and his belt, while the orks got to melee and started attacking. The fight went on fairly poorly, our miner getting heat pretty meanly, while also managing to get one the orks to hit the slug on his back, which made it fall off. Now without heavy weight on his back, he started fighting properly once again, except the first swing of the ork in front of him was a critical hit, successfully parrying said attack, our miner's magical weapon fell on the ground a bit further, while the ork's weapon broke from the impact. This ork started fleeing right away, and then the other ork managed to land a good blow, making our miner fall unconcious.

Meanwhile, the 3 of us at the forge managed to hear some of the fighting happening, and rushed to his aid, as we came close to the fighting location, we encountered an unarmed ork, who our other miner engaged instantly, our craftsman and i ran past him, and a few dozen meters further, laid eyes upon an ork who started kneeling, about to strip our uncouncious brother of his gear and weapons. With one perfect swing, dealing maximal damage right into the Ork's Dongliz (I'll let you look up what bodypart that is, it's a Khazalid word) I killed him. the craftsman, who was right next to me, realised that the master craftsman must be all alone in the forge if we're all here, so he sprinted back there while i helped our miner back up, and lended him a shoulder to help him walk back to the Forge's fortress, since the western door was too far away considering the gravity of his wounds.

Upon arrival at the Fortress, we discovered the master craftsman had come here, waiting for us to return in a safe place, we left our miner in the care of our brothers, gathered the vent covers we had finished making and headed back to the western door. Upon arrival, we decided finally rest, the 3 of us not having done so in over 30 hours, while also telling our rock sorcerer about our miner's misadventures. He then headed there without much trouble and healed him however he could. When we woke up, Our team's noble, and as such leader, gathered all of us for a meeting and told us our next mission was to explore this natural cave we didn't know about until the previous day's unfortunate event.

(BACKSTORY TIME) During the assault on the western gate a few days before, there were many wounded including 12 mortally wounded. A mysterious creature named Taurus, A 10 meters long snake with the head of a bull, unexpectedly arrived and helped us in the fight (he was seeking death, as he had been turned into this recently, and hated his new form). During the fight, Taurus realised he was nearly unkillable, regenerating at unimaginable speeds. He suggested to our Keeper of Knowledge, who was also our Grudgekeeper (and a player, one that doesn't play with us, but does so behind the curtains, separately from the rest of us) that he'd make the mortally wounded drink his blood, to see if they could be saved. The following indeed worked, but also caused a great problem, this went against Gazul's teachings, and their deaths were awaited. The Grudgekeeper very well knew beforehand, Greatly shaming the 12 saved, as well as whole clan for such an offense, he wrote down entries in the book of grudges, an entry for each of the dwarfs that rejected death, and 12 entries for himself, one for each dwarf he saved. A ceremony was held a day later, starting approximately when we had returned from securing the forge. Each of the 13 dwarfs were stripped naked, given runic weapons and runic protections. The Grudgekeeper, instead of being given weapons, kept his book of grudges, and would be to erase the entries as the slayers died in combat, reclaiming their honor and removing the shame brought upon the clan. All 13 of them, along with Taurus, got ready to head for the Mines linked to the forge, a suicidal act, exactly what they all needed or wanted. There would no doubt be massive losses on the Greenskin's side, which was good for us as well.
(END OF BACKSTORY TIME)

Then, both the 14 doomseekers, and us, heading to the forge to explore this natural cave, headed out together. Upon arrival, all of us stood in front of the gates, ready for anything, the forge's mythril gate opened enough for the 14 doomseekers to go through, and then closed, the doomseekers soon after disappearing into the darkness. Our mission then started. After passing by the fortress to get our rock sorcerer and our now healed miner, we headed to the cave, both our miner and me being particularly careful of the roof, watching out for the slugs we had seen earlier, we encountered 5 ork zombies, who turned out to be invulnerable, their only weakness being purely magical attacks, their head of their spine from their neck upwards. after a long and tough fight, we proceeded into the cave, our rock sorcerer leading the way, we encountered a dwarf shaped person, with a hood and a cape, unable to see his face. our miner assumed it was some kind of dark wizard and shot a bolt towards him, it was a good shot, but the mysterious individual raised his finger, stopped the bolt with it by simply touching it. Our rock sorcerer then ordered us to stand down, and greeted his master, A master of rock sorcery, and a hermit. After explaining that this was his temporary home, since a trap we had triggered to stop the goblins from reinforcing the western gate long ago during the initial assault blocked the way to his home, which was deeper underground, he invited us to eat and drink some of his specialties. A foul smelling but good tasting meal, and a Drink that knocked three of us out, while making the ones still conscious unable to taste or smell anything. We finished after our little meeting with the master rock sorcerer was over, and the ones unconscious were dragged back by the others. We returned to the Forge's fortress to decide the next course of action.

Time for another story!

Stormbringer with the southern dwarfs :

(just a quick correction, Taurus did not go along with the 13 slayers into the mines, that was just me misunderstanding, he stayed at the western gate to keep guarding it like he's been doing since the start.)

After waking up the ones who were knocked out by the powerful drink, we headed to the storage #2 to see if we could clean it out, which would only leave the Market to have to be taken to secure the whole area effectively. (Before we left we did find some items, for instance, me and one of our team's miners found a runic item each, his was a pickaxe, which he kept, but i found a hammer, except it had a rune more powerful than any we knew of, i gifted it to our other miner who used a hammer and a shield to fight. As a ranger from another clan, who got to get attached to his 2 weapons for 80 years, i wouldn't trade them for anything in the world.) We did not find anything on our way there, once in front of the door, we opened it once again. But to our surprise, there was a cavern troll and 10 orks in full plate armor right behind it, The fight started and degenerated quickly, 5 orks as well as the troll charged our rock sorcerer, who decided to run away after seeing that, a smart decision to say the least. As i started picking off the 5 orks that chased the sorcerer, a couple of my teammates attacked the troll to take it's attention, which worked, the fight went on for a bit. In the end, i shot 8 bolts, killing 5 orks and finishing off the troll with my last one. A good moment of luck with the dies, not missing once. We then decided to investigate the Storage.

As our search begun, we quickly realised this was going to be quite the profitable expedition. Our team's merchant, who wanted to get this room since the start, opened his family's vault, hidden since the fortress had fallen, and came out with plenty of runic equipment, VERY powerful equipment. The rest of us searched the room and also found some runic items, nothing nearly as powerful as our merchant's of course. To our very delighted surprise, we found out one of the mushroom farms in the storage was still closed and locked by a runic door. To our even greater surprise, the room was a jungle of mushrooms, exactly what we needed to fix our food shortage problem. This farm is usable right away, of the 3 other farms, 2 had be sullied by greenskins and would need a lot of work to be usable again, while the 3rd would be usable after only a tiny bit of cleaning. Good enough! We then headed back to the Western gate, much better equiped than before for most of us, to report the result of our expedition. That's where we left off that time.

Time for another story!

Warhammer fantasy :

Having cleared off the ship from last time and saving the woman who was hiding, we split in two groups to continue our road towards Kemperbad, Not a lot happened besides investigating a few strange things in the ship like the complete lack of any rats. about 2 days later we arrived at an inn, we docked the ship, did whatever we needed like getting ourselves some rooms and such, shortly after we learned a father was watching over his sons who were sick, in the stables, as to avoid spreading whatever sickness is affecting them. He had been here for a month. Our Barber-Surgeon headed there to see how he could help, but learned too late that his sons were affected by a plague that transmits through air by close proximity, the father being immune to it, he urgently made some cures with what he had with him, and cured himself, as well as the others in the stable.

Later in the evening, the alarm sounded, and 4 Young women came running towards the inn, after we learned it was only them, things calmed down again, but they told everyone about a dead horse floating along the river, with a few bags on it's back and no one who mounted it in sight.
Half of our group decided to go and check out what was going on with this. We stopped there for this time, we didn't do much, a lot of uninteresting details once again.

I wonder if the the horse will return in the future as an octohorse with tentacles summoned by a ratman who enjoys causing problems for the locals and sprinkling cheese with everything that he would eat because i guess rats like stinky moldy cheese hmm

So, i may or may not have completely forgotten about this thread months ago, thank you for reminding me degiance, what i'll say right now is i'll give up writing the warhammer adventures, mostly boring stuff/ stuff i haven't followed and also just too much to write without dying of boredom. I will however get the stormbringer adventures back, we're nearing the end of the campaign with the southern dwarfs, and i'm not sure where we stand at in the northern dwarf campaign. What will come after the southern dwarf will be the wood elves of the great forest to the west of the great plain, great plain which is north of the island of the diamond and south of the northern lands.
I'll probably make 2 posts to get back to current time of where we stand on each campaign.
Soon.

Soon.
Can imagine you starting off an em8er rpg clashing it somehow with warhammer world through some dimensional gate. Wouldnt know but if it was my world it would end up as a cluster fu*k and characters would all fly all over the place and the game wouldnt ever end most likely :p

I'll start with updating the story on the northern dwarfs, shortest one of the two.

After having looked for the 5 disappeared without success for a week, we gave up, personally i had to go back south to the northlander human village to gather a shipment of ingredients, enough to make about 200 molotovs, as well as a few other items, Our monk decided to accompany me as we didn't have much to do. Others went to do their own things as well. The trip down went uneventfully, and I managed to get everything i had ordered on our last trip. On our way back to the outpost however, we spotted a group of 9 orks around a campfire on which they were grilling a wolf. We decided we'd crush them, the monk took 5 and i took the other 4, and we destroyed them, with only a small injury on my side due to a critical hit by one ork. We then camped for the night with our dinner already prepared. I should say that our monk only has pants and a few trinkets here and there, no weapon nor armor, he's an absolute beast, being able to do things no one else can, like parrying an attack with his bare hands by catching the blade between his hands or dodging an attack he has no idea is coming. as well as being able to jump great distances if he focuses before doing it. We then finished the rest of our trip without anything noteworthy happening.

Once we arrived at the outpost, many grim news were upon us, our Runesmith and his apprentice had just disappeared and our rangers returned with word of an extremely large army of undead was coming towards us, army which they estimated was about 500 000 undead strong with some of the demonic undead dwarfs (who laid waste to the northern lands) leading them, and one of said dwarfs riding a dragon, who we assumed must've been the leader. The army was estimated to arrive in 10 days, the undead were quite slow thankfully. We also figured out since the last 5 disappeared, that there was no doubt one or more traitors in the village, who made them disappear. Our group's herborist/assassin found a way through the vents which lead to a room with what seemed to have coffins, the amount of coffins matched the amount of disappeared, save for two, which we imagined was the runesmith and his apprentice. We had figured out the traitors, even if too late. they had already escaped.

As the village prepared all the required gear, items and goods to leave for the south, everyone else attended to their own deeds, I got to preparing as many molotovs as possible before our departure.
On the 8th day, the day before we would depart to join the human village, numerous imps suddenly attacked through the vents, spreading a serious amount of panic through the village, a large battle ensued, one extremely brutal at that. After all the imps were slain, they all turned to dust and melted away into the air, which was caused by our monk, who had gone into the vents during the attack and destroyed a summoning altar in one of the unexplored rooms we couldn't access before. It was too late once again however, as we had a total of 20 losses, all of which were children, women and a few elders killed by imps during the panic.

After the massacre, we decided to burn our dead, so the dwarfs wouldn't be able to make them rise again in their ranks. We initiated a ritual to honor their names, the rest of the village then departed, however, us players along with a few of the warriors stood our ground to finish some of our duties. I prepared my laboratory's entrance to make it crumble and seal it, i placed Nono, our runic golem which was turned off ever since we arrived, inside the laboratory to keep him safe so that no ork or other vile beast would come and destroy it, as he was knowledge priceless beyond imagining and we couldn't bring him with us.

On the last day, the day which the army would arrive on the outpost, the others had prepared defenses, from the outpost's walls all the way to the tunnels. The others wanted to deal as many losses as possible to the undead army, I however, disagreed with the plan, seeing as they were way too many to actually noticeably damage or slow down. I decided to leave and avoid the battle, as well as the NPC warriors who had stayed there with us. The other players stood their ground and waited for the army to arrive. I and the npcs started to go and join the rest of the dwarfs down south.

The dwarfs lined up on the front wall in the mountain, with traps laid out all over the outside, ready to hold out for as long as they could. Our monk however, stayed hidden in one of the houses outside, looking through the roof, hidden, to detect any target noteworthy. He indeed spotted the dwarf riding the dragon, who stayed far up in the air, as well as a few demon dwarfs, scattered all around in the army of undead, specifically, he spotted one who would soon pass under him near the building. He decide to come out of hiding and make himself noticed on the roof, to attempt to make the dragon-riding dwarf go and attack him. The dragon started to come downwards, until he stopped and suddenly prepared a breath of fire, our monk Jumped to the side and avoided the fire. he then noticed the demonic dwarf preparing a spell, he decided to wait and see what would come. A few seconds later, the demon dwarf let out a homing fireball, seeing this, our monk jumped off the roof, right over the dwarf who was now under him, he punched the fireball while in mid air, sent it flying back towards the dragon, but unfortunately the fireball exploded on what seemed to be a forcefield around it. He then landed on the dwarf below, put his arms around the demon's head, and ripped it off, the two undead black orks guarding the dwarf tried to hit him but our monk easily dodged, then he started running on the undead's heads, going further out. the head he had just ripped off from the body started talking in a demonic language he didn't understand, so he threw the head into a firepit trap nearby, some blue light came out. He then continued, dodging anything he needed to dodge, until he found another dwarf unfortunately guarded by an undead troll, troll which he critically failed to dodge, and so he was crushed by the troll's club into the ground. The troll hit so hard that it couldn't manage to rip it's club back out of the ground.

Suddenly, the club started to be lifted off the ground, and the troll's feets as well. Our monk stood back up and threw the troll away, jumped on the dwarf near him, ripped off it's head as well and started running on the undead's heads once again. He ran until the head seemed to die, which he figured was due to the limited range between the body and the head until it died. He then fleed westward with some of the army following him. Meanwhile our group of warriors kept being pushed back towards the tunnels as expected, once their last stronghold fell, they ran into the tunnels and used a secret exit the other miners and I found weeks earlier. they then headed south to join the others, being able to outrun the undead which were much slower than them. Upon arrival at the human northlander village, we found everyone safe and sound, with the boat still being checked on by the old dwarf we rescued at the beggining of our adventure, who had stayed at the human village since the first trip there. We found out our boat should be built at around the same time when the undead horde would be upon the village.

This is pretty much where we left off, the story with the southern dwarfs should be longer, and much much more interesting.

Now for the southern dwarfs, I may be skipping something but i'm not sure, i'll start from where we left off either way. I'm also probably going to slightly change a few things to make things easier.

After returning and meeting with Gundir (who for a reminder is the "king" of the southern dwarfs) and his generals, our next mission was to seal the door that lead from the market #2 to the main hall in the center of Karak Izril, so that the greenskins would have no reinforcements once we assaulted the room. We then headed for the last side tunnel we hadn't explored yet, one which looked to lead either to the main hall or somewhere near. At the end of the tunnel, we found out that it lead right to the market's last door, exactly where we needed to go. we also found another way in the tunnel, one which we explored before heading further towards the door. A few steps in, we found a fake wall, we knocked said wall down, and our miner instantly felt something extremely dangerous further on, we also noticed a rune a bit ahead, our rune priestess understood that it was an incredibly powerful rune, we couldn't figure out what it's effect could be, but after a slight bit of thinking, we guessed it would cause an explosion, one which we couldn't know the size of, if something stepped near it. So we decided to put back the fake wall and go see what we could do with the door.

Once at the end of the tunnel, we found out we arrived right under the road which linked the market and the main hall, there was a small stairway which would get us to a spot slightly higher to have a tactical view on the road, our rock sorcerer and me, the ranger, sneaked up there without much trouble, we discovered a serious amount of goblins in full armor as well as numerous goblin shamans. An idea came up, we went back into the tunnel, placed some items near the rune after knocking down the wall once again on the other way, then after heading back to the tunnel, our tunnel fighters started hitting their shield and shouting to make a lot of noise, we then all ran away, as we ran, the ground started shaking, and suddenly, a storm of dust came from behind us. As we ran our miner noticed another way we hadn't noticed before. After the massive explosion was over, we headed back and saw that the tunnel had crumbled in a large area, but we couldn't really say from this tunnel, as some of us headed back to report, the others headed in the new way we had just discovered while running.

After a bit of walking, the group came upon something they never expected, runes, powerful runes, hundreds of them in a large room, the priestess ordered everyone to not touch anything and to follow her. They had discovered a temple, and upon arriving at the end of the temple, they found a small pond of water, the priestess drank from it and the temple lit up, this was the original temple, the dwarf ancestor gods had now returned, dwarfs could now use divine magic once again. they then returned to report as well.

After learning that the ancestor gods were back with us, every single warrior that didn't have a serious duty to attend to, even the injured, were brought and reunited at the forge, a ritual was prepared by the priests and elders. The ritual suceeded and the blessing of the ancestor gods was with us, with a warcry from our rune priestess, all 250 of us charged down the forge's corridor leading to the market (we also learned earlier that the door as well as a good part of the eastern side of the room on the 6th floor had crumbled, making it completely sealed from the main hall, it was indeed a massive explosion that must've been felt in the entire mountain, maybe even entire island), every warrior either rushed down the stairs, slaying everything they met on their way, or jumped down the floors, the blessing even prevented any sort of damage, meanwhile I and the quarellers positioned ourselves on the roofs of the top floor, to rain down bolts on anything that moved, and that meant quite a lot of targets. I spotted a shaman in the foggy midst that came from the bottom of the market and covered the 2 bottom floors. Said shaman seemed to be preparing a spell, It was an extremely difficult shot, i hit in the arm and knocked him down. meanwhile all of the other dwarfs kept slaughtering the greenskins all over the place. a dozen or so seconds later, i saw the shaman getting back up, i shot the same difficult shot, and hit right in the throat, but at that moment, i saw an illusion fading for a single second, what i had just shot was not a goblin, it was a dwarf.

As he fell to the ground, our rune priestess and our miner jumped down to the second floor, said floor and everything under it disappeared, like if it had teleported somewhere. The dwarfs finished clearing every floor from the 6th, the very top, to the 3rd, now the one on the bottom. I'll be honest i don't remember what happened after this up until the point where everyone is settled and the miners are starting to clear out the debris caused by the explosion.

I'll continue writing tomorrow probably, it's getting late for me.

Continuing the story, still with the southern dwarfs.

While the miners were clearing out the debris, one of our group's miner hit something particularly hard, not paying any mind, he hit it again, and was sent flying one floor down, everyone around saw that he had hit a restoration stone or something like that, the whole entryway, as well as the door, were now completely clear and rebuilt. Hearing the commotion, everyone rushed to get to the door and hold off the tide of greenskins that would soon come. Only a handfull were able to get in line to hold off the first wave, thankfully, our rune priestess, who had gotten a blessed whip, which automatically dealt critical hits, was one of those, and the wave was held off without much trouble, moments after, as the dwarf line advanced through the corridor towards the main hall, our noble souded his horn, and another sounded on the other side of the main hall of Karak Izril, the southern dwarf's brethren from the other village were getting slaughtered on their side. Since the alarm had been sounded by our noble, Gundir and every single one of his soldier charged, but instead of going to save their brethren, they charged towards the throne room, to which upon arrival, a massive line of greenskins was standing, unmoving, watching the dwarfs as they advanced, and what looked like an undead dwarf stood not far from the throne, as Gundir sat down, he said, "finally, i wanted to sit on this throne since forever", however, his words seemed to be doubled, like his face, as if he had just gotten possessed and both him and his possessor said it, and the next moment, the dwarfs were lined up in the corridor leading to the main hall, we had just gotten stuck in a time loop.

The loop went on a dozen time, very differently each time, as only us players remembered that we were in a time loop and saw what others did the previous loop every time. During the loops we figured out that they were caused once a pretender to the throne died, or if one was crowned without every pretender in the throne room. We also found out the dwarf next to the throne was Dorian, an ancient dwarf from before the fall of Karak izril, incidentally, he had been stuck in a time loop as well, except his loop started about 150 years before our current time (about the time of the fall of Karak Izril) and ended 6 months after our current time (which, we know as players, is when we destroyed a magical fountain in the south of the island over 10 irl years ago when we played as Samurais), until we made him join our time loop that lasted about an hour at most. Dorian had been in his loop 10 times so far, making Dorian 1500 years old in knowledge, he was also the dwarf i had shot earlier.

Many events happened during some loops, for exemple, i witnessed Gundir abandoning his kin from the other side of the mountain, an action completely unworthy of a proper dwarf, even less of what they would call a king. As a dwarf from another hold, I couldn't let such a fool guide my southern cousins, and made it my objective to not let Gundir be crowned. During one of the loops, our priestess used her fervor to ask a favor from the gods, and teleported to the 12 slayers, (the 13th is a fellow player, who plays with the GM during the week and gets us additional informations and such, instead of becoming an actual slayer, he became a bard, writing the accomplishments of the slayers until all of their deaths, which is when he would be redeemed), three of the slayers had died since their descent into the mines, they were currently inside of the greenskin city, fighting the goblin king. Hogarth, a slayer who was a pretender to the throne, died right at the time the loops restarts, killed by the goblin king. After the last loop, the dwarfs joined up with their kin on the other side, saving them, and then the forces went to the throne room, since the horn hadn't been sounded this time, gundir wasn't here and neither were most of the forces from our side of the mountain. As we arrived, our priestess used her fervor, which she regained every loop, to teleport every single dwarf in Karak Izril to the throne room, meanwhile our rock sorcerer had also ran to his master to bring him back to the main hall, where some stone statues of dwarfs were, most in praying positions except for some statues of warriors, some of said warriors were split in half or broken in different positions, with in the center, a dwarf who seemed to have turned them to such, undoubtedly to save them from certain death, as the warriors died and gave their lives for the spell to finish and to save the women and children. His master used a spell our rock sorcerer hadn't yet learned, and freed the dwarf from their stone forms, right before the mass teleportation. Suddenly, about 450 dwarfs were in the throne room, along with thousands of dead dwarfs. Every pretender was in the room, and our priestess made one of the dwarfs that had been turned to stone, Lothos, an unexpected pretender to the throne, also the missing piece to our loops. Upon him sitting down, Gundir cried in despair at not being king, charged towards the new king, but was stopped by a few dwarfs, a northern Ranger, a noble and a miner, each of us 3 had their own very good reason to stop gundir, we attacked, disarmed him, and knocked him down. We then noticed the loops were finally over, and Dorian ordered the Greenskins, who were still watching from the side of the room, to attack us.

Battle ensued, it was a horrible slaughter, our ranks weren't organised and losses were rising very rapidly. Our priestess then used a stone she had gotten early in the campaign, which made us all go 4 turns back in time, before the mass teleportation, she then changed her previous prayer to the ancestor gods, teleported the tunnel fighters in a line in front of the greenskins, the slayers in front of them, the quarrelers behind them and the ones who couldn't fight on the other side of the room, as well as all the dead in another corner, Lothos and us players were next to the throne, Gundir was accross the room. She also teleported the goblin king in the greenskin ranks, Lothos was crowned once again, and the battle started once more, Dorian sending out the same order, and Lothos rising, hammer in hand, Inspired his soldiers to fight. This time the greenskin lines were getting annihilated, Gundir was slain by a ranger, due to me removing his head from his body.

A huge ice spell was then cast on Dorian, and our noble who had acquired a time axe, struck him, turning Dorian back to his living body, He was then slain for good. But suddenly, a gigantic demon started rising from the ground, only to anticlimactically be killed in a single turn. Lothos then summoned a wall between the main hall and the throne room, as well as one between the throne room and the mausoleum so that we would all be safe while we gave lothos a summary of the situation. Lothos was one of the greatest stone sorcerers known to the south.

Next and final part coming soon.
