UPDATE FROM TUESDAY, MARCH 9, 2021
Update via Impromptu Chief Chat in Discord:
Brief Summary:
► New art, short story, and an update to the Gatestriders novel coming soon!
► Bunny skin will be available for another month!
► This is the LAST WEEK for the Ashee OP-AI skin!
► The Dev Team is aiming for next week on the new test build! The Tsi-Hu will be "pew pewing, juking, and actively pursuing players!"
► A new artist is making the new male skin coming out on the 15th!
► An email will be sent out soon speaking about some of the Work in Progress.
► All backers with access to demos are encouraged to stream!
► Invite your friends to the discord! The GOAL is 20k members!
► All new art will be in the Kickstarter demo for sure!
► Characters can have heterochromia irises (that means eye colors are independent from each other)!
► Latest texture updates on a certain waifu character model include "stylized highlights" and "shading” to the skin.
General Notes:
► Animator working on a facial animation test
hand animated, no mocap
► Skins are being worked on to be more modular (outfit wise)
^Certain outfit combinations may clip but that's ok!
► REPOST male model in the works
► New Visual Toggle mode, lore only: When lore only mode is on, all non-lore skins will be in the pilot G-suit.
► Visual update on omniframes after characters are finished.
► Characters will need to be finalized before Mecha stuff.
► Once PvP is removed on the test builds it lessens the number of servers required, saving money
► Happy to redo the website (thinking about switching back to word press) [current website does not make the cut]
► Considering between options of using sliders or preset body sizes for characters (limited to fit in the frame).
► Grummz mentioned he "would like to" get tech wear in the game.
Techy Stuff:
► Considering texture options on skins
► Testing out a form of AI upscaling, so far it has proven to be good for the framerate!
► Redoing terrain shaders
► Can’t support ray tracing on AMD cards yet
► DLSS is optional
► Ray tracing is an option, but does make the characters look better.
^ray tracing does not increase development time
► "We'll probably disable PVP [once the Tsi-Hu are fighting back].” ~ Grummz
► The plan is to have a lot of clothing options.
