I wonder what exactly these commander coins are. Is there an official statement somewhere? I was browsing the forums and discord, but found nothing

I wonder what exactly these commander coins are.

Commander coins are essentially passkeys that will be usable in-game to access special areas that only people with the coin can enter. Owning a Newcomer pack of Archon or above will grant their corresponding coin and the benefits the coin grants; Bronze, Silver, Gold. Refer to the bottom of this attached image for the Gold coin (highest level).
