It has Already been said that you will not be able to "eject" from the omniframe.

In my opinion the Mech doesnt look like it's meant to carry resources, while the Thumper had Ore cell's that were ment to store ore and Crystite. The Mech looks more like a battle companior, rather than an ore colleting robot.
