I would only support this if it is something that can be pretty much just "turned on" like a switch by the devs with virtually no man hours used to implement it. Above that, to me it is just a waste of valuable dev time that can be spent for the game itself. Or, maybe if it take time to...

I remember this exact same discussion in the beginning of the Firefall forums before there was a game to play (yes, I've been around that long). R5 wanted to avoid the "MMO" tag like the plague but later embraced it.

The best f2p game that I can think of that I have been involved with (granted I have not been involved with very many) is Path of Exile. They, IMO, have knocked it out of the park. I have spent a lot of money on that game in 5 years and don't regret a bit of it and Grinding Gear Games is doing...
