I got banned years ago. At least the game wasn't shit yet when I got banned. Now there isn't even a real game left to miss. The9 can choke on a bag of rubber dicks.

It could have a wall building effect on potential new players as they worry about availabilty of land. It creates a perceived wall between them and even getting forward momentum started. I am not sure about "ownership" of land. That was at least one of the few things FF got more or less right...

I think the shit show we all experienced already has taught everyone a few lessons. As long as feedback is welcomed and given consideration then we have a much better chance of things going off the rails and through a Chinese opium den.

Man, it is going to kill my inner and outer child waiting for the game to develop. Safe to assume jackassery will ensue as we all wait. I hope there is a way for the community to take part early. After alpha is over anything new goes to the back burner as future content.

Can we agree that District 9 had cool weapons? Going to have to go home and watch the last half of that movie again.

With the Tech Tree we used to have we still had horizontal progression. We just saw others using a certain weapon or ability and decided we wanted that as well. Then we just worked towards it. They weren't more powerful. They just killed stuff in a different way.

It depends on the game. I've seen them done nicely and done in a manner that the designer should be stomped to death by one. I'll let you know when I play one in this game. Edit: My wife took up competition shooting so there's no way I would have voted option 1.

I haven't tried any of the VR yet but people said 3D gaming was overhyped as well. For a racing game, I thought it was great but gave me a headache after about 30min. For a shooter is was fun as well. If they don't do VR then I'd like to see some 3D option supported. I have the system for VR...

Yep, I played countless hours of SR3 completely naked. I'd do it again in Ember as well if I could get it as an option. The run and slide on a person like they were a surf board while naked was fun as well.

I like that idea. Too bad The9 likely won't sell off the 3d modeled things from the old game. If the price was right, it might help with speeding up development.
