As far as the weight (bullets included) and the recoil are concerned, jury's still out on those ones.

Recoils also decently well covered if you go for the right design (or just get an exosuit, those should be out and practicle sooner than later).

the first AK-12 Prototype was far more awesome, it used fucking 6.5 grendel and had a 50 rounds (or 60 rounds) casket magazine. The new AK-12/15 still uses it though, even when they are now AK-400s and not AK-200s (like the prototype)

or just grab some lethal pneumatic rifles. Practically no recoil in those things when compared to the real deal.
Though the trade offs makes it less than ideal for anything other than hunting.

This shows both it's potential for lethal as well as it's limiting factors.
Yeah, I know there are air guns that do have magazines.
