Sorry, but it's way too early in development to be talking about a beta or release. Currently the team is working on the in-game assets for the vertical slice (similar to a Proof of Concept, much earlier than a demo state), which will allow backers of the game to play a THMPR encounter / mining scenario.
This vertical slice will then be used to promote the Kickstarter for the game, wherein the game will be presented to potential customers outside the 'mostly' Firefall based community we have currently.
A successful Kickstarter will enable the current devs (who are working part time) to set up full-time operations dedicated to developing Em-8ER and further progress on the game.
Estimates on Beta or Release may be possible only after the devs start full-time development of the game.
