There are lots of online games with vertical progression. Not all of them are great but that is enough proof that vertical progression works on online games. I think people who don't like vertical progression want different style of games. Not everyone likes FF series, you know.

It should be both. (Forget about modules in FF, that was just poorly designed) When you want to use resources to customize your weapon, what are you going to build first? I am sure that won't be a complete new weapon. It will be replaceable parts and that is what a module is.

Planetside(the first one) was P2P but it had promotional F2P month. While subbed players could play it without any limitation of course, free-players could only go up to battle rank 7 and command rank 1(or 2..). I think by that time Battle rank cap was already increased from 20 to 25. Command...

Making it free after 4 week is too short and asking too much. It will be depend on how much a mini-expansion will deliver but I think it should be waited until the next expansion.

That is my bad. I think I was trying to say about what everyone could easily agree on but assumed that people wouldn't. Then made examples that didn't match very well to pursuade others.

That is what I hate the most in many modern RPGs... You can jump on top of a dragon's neck and deliver the final blow but a fence is still too strong.

That fatman only has pew pew AA guns, Monkeylord has AA missiles and is stealthy! In fact, UEF is my favorate faction in SC but as a personal ride, I think catapillar is too old fashioned.

Sorry Vedemin for leading the subject to different direction, but now I wonder how important the omniframes are in Ember. If we are going to have different types of vehicles, doesn't that mean you don't have to use an omniframe maybe not needed at all? If you prefer other vehicles?

I don't know if we can have that in game but it looks fun ;D
