It has been mentioned that there were different colonies. So race options should be an awesome idea for unique character creation n wifu plus it will serve as future prospect to develop pilot contents .

Well it's really one Race...human...but there may be a few modifications you can choose from. Right now it's human and niko(?). Who knows for the future.

Lets imagine we have the tech and the ability to change our colour even patterns and add features on top of that.
What if we could collect certain resources that help to change the pigment and change the spacing with special instruction to reprogramme the pigmentation since there could be many variety of resources that link to the different pigment options.
Some of the process could even be temperature sensitive changing colour when we are too cold or too hot or even like the lizard excited perhaps after applying many happy face emotes that could change the pilots pigment if that feature was added.
Noticing how the tsihu change their colour when you get closer to them as they could sense disturbance through the receptive tentacles which changes colour on their back.
I think if we have enough options to be what we like, then that would be good and race ....well you could make your own new race hmm
