The Aegis will arrive

#5
It's from the Greek Iliad, a snake like creature that was golden and ephemeral, bearing the head of a Gorgon.

"It produced a sound as from a myriad roaring dragons and was borne by Athena in battle ... She threw the dreadful tasselled aegis about her shoulders, crowned at every point with terror, violence and strife within, adorned with the monstrous image of the Gorgon’s head, grim and awful emblem of aegis-bearing Zeus."

The modern concept of doing something "under someone's aegis" means doing something under the protection of a powerful, knowledgeable, or benevolent source.

Who knows what it means within the world of Crixa if anything at all.

I think it would have the same meaning. like Greece, Egypt and other ancient history are the same.
It's more like an alternate timeline where the cold war never ended.
