I have the habit of moving my user directory on another drive than C:\.
So far it helped me regain most of my stuff in 3 or 4 crashes.
When I was new to windows 7, I couldn't figure out why that $@!7 kept putting the userfolder to username.computername (yes it was because I selected network settings during install).
However, I dug through the failed directories' picture folders (never bothered to clean up after finding out) and found a few mementos.
Most were taken simply because I forgot what each key does after putting the game on hiatus for a month or six.
These are the 3 I retained now.
