Hi again. Is it there any way to download the Firefall or any new aplication of Em8er??? Ive been playing games since my own Gauntlet on MSX ( copy paste ^^)...im frome EU and i guess i would be a potential tester

To answer your question about Firefall, it is not owned by Crixa Labs or Mark Kern (aka: Grummz).
A China-based company called The9 owns Red5 Studios/Firefall and they shut down the PC game July 2017; therefore no download is available.

If you're interested in the Spiritual Successor to Firefall, called Em-8ER, then you're in the right place!

To quote Grummz from Em-8ER Discord:

Grummz: Em8er is just goign to be better and more streamlined, since we know what was fun and not fun in FF already.
Grummz: And Em8er focuses on two major aspects of FF and nothing else: Invasions and Thumping/Crafting/Upgrading
Grummz: Well, we are keeping the gliding and jetpacking

With that knowledge, right now the developers are working on what is considered the "Proof of Concept" phase.
This means it is TOO early to give even an estimated date of when any type of alpha, beta, or the full game's release would be available.

However, if you would like to stay informed on the game's developments, please check out the following areas:

There is an "#UPDATES" channel in Em-8ER Discord.
This channel is maintained on a weekly basis when there are updates (videos, forums, and otherwise).

I began to answer Fumaider's question on the original thread (the PvP one). After I started my reply, I noticed his question and the thread had nothing to do with each other and that it might be better as a new thread.

Maybe it will also help if community members have questions here in the forums that don't have an answer in the FAQ ... yet.

* Would there be a timeline/roadmap for us to see clearly & easily the progress made and future tasks? perhaps with a trello board or something else?


* If i am new and know nothing of Firefall, how would you convince new indivdual's that em8er is worth compared to the competition below?

- Anthem
- Defiance 2050
- Dual universe
- project genom
- Biomutant [openworld rpg]
etc etc

Good question. My guess would be a huge YES. Go to the players, fans, etc. and stay away from publishers, standard investors, and loans (if possible).

Also a good question. My guess would be that one will be provided if the Kickstarter goes well.

I wouldn't worry about comparisons to any of these as none of them are released yet ...and most, if not all, will have been released a good bit before Em-8ER and may not even be worth comparing when the time comes for that.

Probably asked somewhere, but is there a roadmap of some kind in relation to the development of this game?

Like, I was a backer for Firefall during the early closed beta stages. Was curious of whether a complete alpha/closed beta was in the works and when they would be released (not just these demos, which are still cool, but they do get a little stale after a while).

I read some lore, a while back, with a female protagonist, who did some big mistake or something, going through a gate, had serious repercussions...etc.

I wish to catch up on the lore, from the very start, the alternate history on Earth, the exodus from it, all the way to the first discoveries of planets...etc. Everything that has been written so far. The novels and stuff.

Part of me wants to wait, until is more fleshed out. But, another part also wants a chance to maybe contribute (like, with the logs I've written, which are a mix of in-game lore and tutorial) and add some stories, create NPCS and their stories, come up with names and background for e.g.: manufacturers, factions, cults...anything that could slowly build the game's world.

Might be too much on my plate. I'm still writing my Darksiders fan-novel (not in any way an official work), which I want to complete, before moving onto other, lengthy fan-fiction.
