Since the two main species used were the Kudu and the Komodo Dragon, possible names could be:

Twine Varanus
Kudusaurus
Kudu Dragon
Nail-Hammer
Horn-Tail

Docile, despite its considerable mass and natural weaponry, this beast was among the first to be discovered, grazing on vegetation, in small packs of half a dozen, and diving for aquatic life in still ice-cold lakes, quickly resuming its usual routine, as though its entire habitat had not been effectively under suspended animation. The species only ever demonstrates hostility when defending itself, its young or its egg clutches from predators, one of them being the solitary Dusk Raptor, the attacks of which it can sometimes successfully repel with the well-timed use of its antlers and surprisingly fast swipe of its powerful nail-hammer-like tail. After managing to get an uncomfortably close observation of such a fight, via the use of cloaking, one scout reported they had trouble deciding whether they would rather be on the receiving end of a charge from this creature or one of the shapeshifted beasts. Surely the answer is neither. - /Carmen/
