Hype has its downsides, but it can be really beneficial as well, especially for Ember.

Your typical supporters are:

- F2P supporters: Will keep an eye on the game, spread its name, and play it if it ever becomes F2P.
- Decision-making supporters: Will decide to buy the game AFTER its release based on reviews and gameplay videos.
- Realists with a vision: Will support the game to give it a chance to shine, hoping it will be fun to spend time with.
- Your HYPE supporters: Will spend crazy amounts of their savings in hopes for their hyped-visions to become a reality (Their support will become negative if the game disappoints them).

***************

Ember is a crowd-funded project, and since there is no playable prototype as of yet, Ember's strongest support comes from those with excessive hype over it. It is not a healthy way of thinking, but it has its positives.

Well spoken, I probably belong to "Realists with vision" group :)
