One of the things I wound up getting when I was playing Firefall was the powered wings. They only gave like 30 seconds of power and I think had a ridiculous cooldown. I can't remember just how long it was.
The thing about them is they were very useful in situations where a glider pad wouldn't have been. Especially caves that one needed to fly out of. Did anyone else have these. I liked them. They weren't super useful for fast travel but they were situationally useful to keep the jog from being too boring, where you couldn't deploy a bike, at times.
Possibly skim mode makes this an entirely moot point, however.
