Scout on Discord was talking about how much fun he had during the last day of beta and it's capitol ship invasion.

It made me wonder that since we defeat enemies and salvage their tech, maybe when the enemy captures one of our bases they do the same. Any time they manage to capture our tech, they reverse engineer it and attempt to, say, disassemble our dropships and use new creations to assault the next base.

This way there could be a new type/vector of invasion; by air.

disassemble our dropships
Not the dropship WAAAAA

What if it was a higher tier building then that could be more likely depending on who is attacking.

For example lower tier Kaiju's wouldn't really be equipped to takeover unless the building tier is lower and
smaller structures.

Bigger kaiju's would be equipped with improved tech and abilitiy so they would be able to get those higher tier buildings.

They can still reverse engineer our dropship does this mean we can still use a standard dropship during this time?

Just like omniframes, dropships could come with various class and when you start off we all get our wonderful standard dropship wouldn't house as much as the better dropship but its a good starter.

Then work to get better ones or reverse engineer the kaiju's research building kind of like how in C&C when you take over their base with an engineer you have access to the opponents stuff lets say in this case the features are not completely alien unless you go for higher tier structures meaning higher risk and higher gains.

Idea, set up traps with the Derpships so that when they try to reverse engineer things they would end hurting themselves. lol. For the people who don't know a derpship is what we called a dropship with a bug in back in FireFall. These derpships would do things like spinaround like a top while flying or fly backwards or even just flatout kill the players inside of them by kicking them out without warning while locking their jets so they fall to their deaths. Not counting the ones that would do things like fly into the mountains, or into the ground, or into the Melding without letting the players be able to jump out of them. The plan is we pretend to lose and run away while leaving behind some derpships for the enemy to find. within a few weeks they would killed themselves trying to use our tech. lol

Anyway I would like to see things work both ways. They can try to reverse engineer our things but we could also try to reverse engineer their things. After all, in real life humans reverse engineer plants and animals all the time to make our technology better. Like how studying things like sharks and dolphins lets up make faster ships in water. Or trying to reverse engineer spider silk to make better ropes, cloths, and body armor.

True, but I would like to see more things that kind of blur the line between technological and biological more in games. Most people know about cyborgs (an organic being with computerizes, mechanical, and/or cybernetic parts linked to their minds or bodies) but you rarely hear most people talk about biodroids (an robot or computer with biological parts added or built into it. Think using neurons and nerves to make a living circuit board for a computer because neurons can rewire themselves to add more functions and/or to make existing functions more efficient.) nor technorganics (they are a true hybrid of biological and technological systems to the point there you can't separate one from the other without destroying them both. This includes things like living weapons and armor that can ether be symbiotic or parasitic to the host.). I would love to see as both sides try to reverse engineer things from the other that don't just blindly copy things but also use parts and concepts in a way the other side wouldn't have thought of. Add as both side do it more there could come a point where both side are using things technorganics just part of their normal gear, if not units.

One good extra example of a technorganic human is someone that has nanomachines/nanobots in basically every cell in their body and they can freely control those nanobots to do anything they want. Like make their skin into armor or change their lungs so they can breath toxic gases and/or water.

True but remember things like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrot exist in real life too. Even as far back as the early 2000's people was binding brain cells with computer chips to control robots and there was even talk about using such a system to act as auto pilots to control aircraft and self gilding missiles. I'm not sure if they are still trying to use them on the military front, but having things like brain cells integrated into computer parts is still a subject people are working as way to better mix humans and animals with technology.

After all the idea of the singularity is one of the 3 main outcomes of scifi with advanced technology, where A.I. and organic intelligence merge into one and can no longer be seen as two different things. Even things like Ghost In The Shell touch on this topic as some A.I. do merge with humans to because a new type of being.

...If any of our bases gets over run and captured, then its time to call in for a 'Thor's hammer' - a massive object fired/pushed from low orbit that has the same kinetic power as a small nuclear bomb...without the gamma radiation ! or we call in our own Kaiju to stomp on them ! :p
