After watching and reading the good news for customization of the pilot suits, and remembered playing some racing in sl.
One of the most fun was hanging out and show casing your vehicles and checking out the other racer and even the race teams. Sometimes they would hold ingame events where if a letter of the alphabet starting with the first letter of your name or a ? appeared on the event board you could get a surprise prize.
These prizes usually could be anything from common vehicles to Super Race grade vehicles.
In this example you could have different grades just like the skins of the pilot for the vehicles and some of them could effect the way this performs.
- Wheel types from the size to the addition of spikes etc
- rotors/wing types different styles and sizes
- Turbo lvls you could have bigger thrusters to smaller concealed
- Paints/patterns/ finishes to make it your own style
- Decals and sponsor this could be for teams and could boost your reps for the sponsor.
What are the other things that happen?
- The Sales events some of the items are announced on sale ingame too with reps from each race factions around.
- There was always free goodies too so many wanted some to add to their collection.
- Showcase central many will come to see your vehicles some modeled by pets and others with waifu's/husbandos etc
- In the rp the speedsters formed an area to train and fine tune their vehicles among friendly competition to big events.
- Collecting various vehicles was enjoyable as collecting the many race outfits it showed your progression/achievements
- There was even a mole vehicle it was one of those fun gimmick vehicles it had ears and a squeeky sound if you bumped into anything those could be changed using sound packs.
