So a few games I have messed around with like Vindictus and Aura Kingdom have a secondary passowrd that you enter using a virtual keypad and your mouse that while very simple I would imagine is pretty effective protection against key loggers. Anyone have any idea how useful something like these systems are in reality for account security?

I don't think that keyloggers are a major concern, most hacking is done either by abusing flaws in the code, intercepting data from the client to the server or by brute forcing the password, all in all a 2 stage auth code that mails you a temporary code when you log from another location is better i think, if you get the email account hacked too though luck then

Switch to Proton Mail and you shouldn't have to worry about your email getting hacked.
