Working around anti-class / build maps

It would help a lot if you could choose pick a suitable build before going into battle. Either by knowing in advance where the mission happens, or by an option to switch between prepared builds at the start. Personally, I would want one for close quarters an done for long range.

    Video-Games You're Playing (Re-Start)

Update (it's been a while since I posted here): I'm mostly playing From The Depths now, even if it still feels a bit unfinished. It is a kitbash-style build and fight game, with focus on single player and ships. A multiplayer mode exists though, and you can also build planes and ground vehicles...

    Video-Games You're Playing (Re-Start)

You have a point about the grindiness, which is why I have drifted a bit away from the core game and play more with the pretty characters these days. Building up a collection of pictures now with the photo mode, here is one of me and my character playing with a flying mount (showing off time ;))...

    Video-Games You're Playing (Re-Start)

Currently playing Skyforge and Crossout. Skyforge is a MMO with the usual leveling, quests, raids and so on. Very pretty character models though ;) Crossout is a vehicle-based team combat game with an unique crafting system: The players can put their cars together with a kit-bash system in an...

Is there a good reason for 3 frames?

Voted for 2 (light, heavy): I think for maximum versatility in crafting your frame, every weapon type should in principle fit on every frame. But it still makes sense that very heavy weapons cannot be carried by the light frame. Think heavy machine gun vs. autocannon (bigger), the latter might...

    "Abilities/OmniProtocols/Armor/Stuff"

Some thoughts about flying, crafting and variety: A few options for every aspect of the game could go a long way there, the options will multiply. For example Give the player some freedom in choosing/crafting jump jets, but instead of height and duration you have thrust and duration to play...

    "Abilities/OmniProtocols/Armor/Stuff"

I don't think it would be much extra work if the glide and jump jet part of Firefall was already implemented. Firefall already had gliders that maneuvered like small planes, all they were missing was a source of thrust. So while in glide mode, allow to hit thrusters and you're done. Edit: that...

    "Abilities/OmniProtocols/Armor/Stuff"

The division between Jump/glide/skim seems a bit arbitrary. May I suggest a concept to combine them more seamlessly? Omniframes can switch between jump and glide mode at any time, even in flight In glide mode, the jump jets can be used for accelerating and "pulling up" for gaining height Skim...

    IMPORTANT: Omniframe Mk II

In most regards, I like the Mark II better because it looks more functional to me. Voted accordingly. In particular, - I like the closed cockpit because it looks like it protects the pilot better. Although you might then want some locations where the pilots typically park their frame and get...

    Friday Update - Omniframe FINISHED

First off, I like the smooth movements of the THMPR in the Unreal test. It fits a Science Fiction scenario so much better than having it clumsily stumble around. And now I get greedy: Is the hovertank(?) on the left side also in-game?

Saturday Update - Omniframe, Characters, Scale Test

And sometimes they stay in a way that suggests it is fully intentional. Better say it early enough if you don't like them. Take Skyforge for example. Gorgeous graphics and character customization (edit: WITH costume options), but you cannot give the ladies flat heels. And in that game, they do...

    Old Firefall players, please respond!

Rabiator here (same forum name as in Firefall). Can't remember the exact date I joined Firefall, but I remember I snatched a closed beta key. My oldest post on the FF forums where I talked about my observations in-game was this. So I certainly was already a Firefall player on Aug 15, 2012. BTW...
