    Ember forum loads CPU

Background fading is modern and looks cool. I've already discussed the matter with Mark and we'll be looking into it. I'd start with switching implementation from JS fading to HW accelerated CSS transitions, personally I don't see a reason to implement "pausing", but I'm not the one to make...

    Ember forum loads CPU

You can disable responsible script with Adblock/Ublock rule ||forums.emberthegame.com/*/jquery.backstretch.min.js$script Problem is in the transition effect. Script is burst changing opacity taking quite a lot of resources. Ideally this should be handled by hardware-accelerated CSS transitions.

[Resolved] HTTP/Plain is a security risk! HTTPS/TLS is the way to go.

New Update: HTTPS is from now on enforced, insecure HTTP is now forcefully redirected to secure channels. (And not just for forums but the entire domain.)

[Resolved] HTTP/Plain is a security risk! HTTPS/TLS is the way to go.

Thank you. Many email hosting providers give option for 2-step verification, but at increased security you are also increasing complexity and potentially risk loosing access yourself. Of course most experienced IT users don't have problems, but it's something casual users don't do. So even...

[Resolved] HTTP/Plain is a security risk! HTTPS/TLS is the way to go.

New Update: Cloudflare service has been successfully deployed and https protocol should be working for everyone (you can tell by a green padlock next to address bar). Please note there is no permanent redirect to it as of yet as part of testing grace period. You can switch to it manually by...

So why have i had a mail from Ember?

Nothing was hacked, nobody got anyone's address and nobody got hurt. 1 forum PM, that's all everyone got using regular forum feature. Emails were sent because members agreed and were subscribed to get alerted when someone PMs them. Also banned people had nothing to do with it, they were posting...

    Say why you dislike me.

You know I respect your views, but only up to the point until they become personal attacks disrespectful to views of others. If you have point to get across feel free to do it, if you have arguments to back it up, sure go ahead. But never make it personal. Emotion that gets you there simply...

Please keep your forum signatures toned down

I'm sure many of you have noticed we have here this nice feature Firefall and many other forums have disabled > Signatures. Content appended to your every post. They have no rules as of now, you can place there text, links, images whatever you want. However and I'd like to stress this out, If...

Remember all the Frames we could've had

Omniframe implies that it's universal all purpose frame. I'd like to see it modular. Basically same base frame and only small self-contained addons would change its appearance.

[Resolved] HTTP/Plain is a security risk! HTTPS/TLS is the way to go.

Thank you Mark, I'm honored. Gandi gives just 1 standard certificate and it's free only for the first year. Also since sub-domains are used here, down the road it would probably require wildcard certificate which goes around $200/yr. Cloudflare is probably the best option to try first and see...

[Resolved] HTTP/Plain is a security risk! HTTPS/TLS is the way to go.

Update: Cloudflare service has been successfully deployed and https is from now on enforced, insecure http is now forcefully redirected to secure communication. It appears authentication password for Ember forums is currently going through potentially insecure channels in plain text which can...
