What about this weapon? - part 7

Spoiler: Description from part 1

A few years ago some weapon concepts were presented, but it seems (I may be wrong) only the Stardyne ST-11 Assault Rifle and the Tessara Rifle were added to the store for sale, or as rewards for subs.
I can't find the original forum post with the original images, so I extracted them from a video that I have saved here on my PC, and since there's no information about those weapons, I would like to ask what you guys think these weapons will be like.

What's this? A Minecraft gun?



Ok, this is a blocky one.
To me it seems to be some kind of laser or energy gun, I'm assuming those blue boxes in the rear are maybe battery packs, and the visuals kinda gives some electronic appliance vibes. If someone told me this is the prototype of the "XBox 420" maybe I'd believe it.

What do you guys think?

Just confirming that it is indeed a laser weapon, because of the warning label that's the same one that is already used to warn about the risks of real laser emitters.

Also noticed there is a label stating "not man fireable" so if it isn't manual then could be a smartish laser!

It could do this with the help of the Op A.I and pressing the trigger won't be needed because in the friendly and threat category it would have this stored to simplify this on what to lock on and fire.

What if there is a not sure / neutral category this could be something like wild life and may use small short fire to distract or even temporarily blind and use as a warning if any begin to be agitated.

To stop the gun from firing you could stop aiming at the target(s) or deactivate the weapon.

I like to think it is a weapon that saves peoples fingers from firing especially those who may have issues with rsi's.

I think it's meant to be fired only by mechs. Maybe it has a safety feature that locks the gun if it detects a human hand.

Ah well that makes sense but i do wonder if there are smaller weapons for pilots who go out of their Mechs too hmm

That makes sense.
If we're able to leave the mech we should be able to defend ourselves at least from some weaker enemies.
Maybe also add some game mechanics exclusive to humans, like Warframe does with the operators, to give us more reasons to actually leave our mechs sometimes.
