i was at most three in the 90s, but an annoying risk-factor sounds like it'd be in a strategy-game, maybe squad-based with unit progression? never played any of them, but an xcom?
1: the main character thinks the player is a god, the game itself is suicidal.
2: sword-boyfriend lets you build scientific powers from dead people.
3: it never gets lamer and there are achievements for winning in a mech.
4: death can turn into a gas, but only to travel through pipes.
5: you're like the most normal person in cyberpunk.
