The THMPR is also a combat ready buddy, awesome!

I was in on the Chief Chat last night, and Grummz confirmed the THMPR to be combat efficient.

This is very exciting in contrast to the Thumpers from Firefall.
I can already imagine the THMPR helping us when we face larger enemies.
Customization is going to be awesome, and weapon attachments for the THMPR would be very cool!

What kind of eguipment/attachments would you like to see on your THMPR?
I'd personally like to see the drill be replaced with a huge Battlesword.

You also need to keep in mind the fact that if the THMPR is fighting, it's not harvesting. It can't do both at the same time, so logically when the THMPR needs to start helping out it's also time to go back to a base don't you think?

Yes indeed it is, this is a well known feature that was announced quite some time ago and even talked about on Web Site.
You can expect to see the T.H.M.P.R. in epic melee battles with raging Kaiju. I personally can't wait to see that first hand.

Grummz mentioned he might land in a basket and uses that for resources, will he put that down when he fights and we then both work together to defend the basket of resources? That might be interesting.

The Tsi-Hu would be trying to steal the resources out of the basket.

We would be (thumper and us) defending it.

We might loose some resources, or even all of them, during the fight.

This is something I'm really happy to see. Adds more of a challenge to mining as you have to prevent the THMPR from stopping mining operations to defend itself. I just hope that we can have a choice on its "personality" such as should it take an aggressive/defensive stance or disable the attack response all-together (in the case of, say, a squad).
