Working with Blender geometry nodes. Having hard time getting consistent results when exporting.

You have to freeze all the instances but for some reason they are different on the export depending on file format. Been debugging.

Figured it out. Make instances real only gets you part way there. You have to make the data sets single user too.

That said, the rest of the day is rest day, as it is Sunday.

Okay, past 2 days have been a combination of Nurbs modeling, geometry nodes, and my first particle systems and physics sim.

After using Modo, Maya, etc. I feel tht Blender is up to task for game dev work. More studios would switch but the legacy burden is too great.

Hey folks. I've had some medical things come up recently and have been doing some doctor visits and tests.

After all these tests, good news is that I'm okay and just have to work on a few things. While I take this week to focus on health, I'll be having Ricardo head up the character demo.

Going back and forth with Ricardo. We are having a new issue with Maya export only on the female.

We are using a copy from an older build for now, but this is going to need some unraveling.

Basically the female no longer exports with her skeleton, which is very odd.

Worked with Em yesterday on some web stuff. Today I'm in a story mood.

Writing going well. cleaning up a lot of stuff and leaning into more of the Gatestrider flavor in dialogue.

Feels good to be focusing on just good guys vs bad guys. We’ve got powered armor and mecha, they’ve got kaiju and crystal based “tech magic.”

Also working in revamping website for the influx of new followers from Twitter.

I also processed some payment plans for packs that upgraded. If you missed it and would like one, DM by tomorrow and I’ll still extend the offer.

Spoke with Harry about getting the voxel terrain implemented in Unreal Engine 5.3.

The original version 1.2 won’t work and is no longer supported and 2.0 is in beta.

This means we are at an awkward stage of terrain, and some more research is needed.
